Why Meet Haus Exists
I never set out to start a candle company. But after years of burning mass-produced candles filled with synthetic fragrances and questionable ingredients, I realized something was missing: authenticity, intention, and a real connection to place.
Meet Haus was born in my Baltimore kitchen in 2024, out of a simple desire: to create candles that felt as honest and grounded as the city I call home. Baltimore isn't just where I make candles; it's why I make them. This city taught me that beauty lives in the details—in the brick rowhouses of Fells Point, the quiet mornings along the Inner Harbor, the creative energy pulsing through every neighborhood.
The Baltimore Connection
Each of our neighborhood candles tells a story I've lived. The Inner Harbor scent was inspired by early-morning walks along the waterfront, when the city is just waking up, and the air smells like possibility mixed with saltwater. Mt. Vernon captures the quiet grandeur of marble stoops, historic facades, and late-night conversations in dimly lit rooms, peppercorn and juniper lingering like old money and intention. These aren't just fragrances. They're memories, moments, and love letters to the place that shaped me.
